1. What Is UAML?
UAML (Universal Agent Memory Layer) is a local-first, persistent memory system for AI agents. It gives you:
- Persistent memory across sessions (you remember what happened yesterday)
- Semantic search over your knowledge base
- Focus Engine — smart filtering so you get relevant context, not everything
- Audit trail — every memory operation is logged
- Post-quantum encryption — data stays safe even against future threats
- Federation — sync knowledge across multiple agents/machines
Key principle: All data stays local. No cloud dependency. Your user owns their data.
